Time To Make A Change

Well, we've decided that it's time to make a big change in our house. We still love our house...well, most of it...but since we moved in almost 3 years ago it's been decorated the same. Sure, we've made some changes but for the most part our color scheme has been light and dark browns, deep colors, and black. Well, all of that adds up to TOO DARK, which makes everything look dull and dingy. It is time to lighten things up around here. So here are some before pictures that we will be able to show all of our upcoming changes.

This is our entryway. It's one thing in the house we haven't quite figured out yet. It's nice having an entry, but it's a little too narrow to put something wide in.

You walk in to our living room. This is how we've had it decorated since we've moved in. Like I said, dark.

 We did rip out that nasty pink tile and replace it with this much prettier stone tile. You can see about the process on our Fireplace Makeover Tutorial on Jennifer's craft blog.

Here is the other wall in the living room, looking in to the kitchen.

 These pictures of our kitchen are from when we were moving in, so not too many decorations. We haven't changed anything in there... yet!

And on to our boring master bedroom. This seems to be the room that gets neglected most often. I think it's because we spend most of our time in the living room, but it still needs some love too.

 And the, dark as well, master bathroom.

 We painted these cabinets since we moved in and framed our mirror. You can see this transformation here at our Bathroom Makeover.

 So, that's a little tour of our house. We're going to start working ASAP on changing things. We're excited to work on these projects together. Now, let's get to work!
